There are lots of beautiful things to see in western Nebraska. I thought it would be full of cornfields, and nothing else but there are some beautiful sights to see.
One attraction you'll see is Chimney Rock - from different angles and light. The Pioneer Crossing near this incredible rock marks part of the Oregon Trail .
The sandhills are incredibly beautiful with rolling hills covered with grasses of different hues and color. There are also a multitude of lakes along the way.
The combination of cornfields and other crops, the rolling sandhills with multicolored grasses, the lakes, and beautiful rock formations
give me a feeling of appreciation and peacefulness. Enjoy!

Carhenge in Alliance, Nebraska
Carhenge is a unique work of art, to say the least. It was built by a man named Jim Reinders in 1987 to emulate Stonehenge.
Look it up and read about how this was all built based on the actual measurements and structure of the Stonehenge itself.
When asked why he built it, Reinders replied "Why not?"
